HamAntCal Version 3.5 (Ham Antenna Calculator) is a reliable and user-friendly tool for calculating the starting length of antennas in feet/inches or metric units. With its intuitive interface, it simplifies the process of antenna construction.

As a starting point for antenna construction, this calculator proves invaluable. However, users should understand that proper matching methods will be necessary for optimal performance, especially at VHF and higher frequencies where even minor changes in length or diameter can significantly impact resonant frequency.

Safety is paramount when building antennas, and it is vital to observe appropriate precautions. Always use the recommended safety equipment and ensure that your antenna avoids contact with power lines. Safety should be a top priority throughout the entire construction process.

Although this calculator has yielded positive results, it is important to note that outcomes may vary. To account for any discrepancies, it is advisable to add extra wire and trim the antenna to the desired frequency.
